2GO Announces Steps To Manage The Health Situation Of Its Crew Members
MANILA, 9 August 2021 - 27 of 80 crew members of our vessel, the M/V St. Anthony de Padua plying the Batangas to Caticlan route, were found positive for COVID-19. The crew is now currently isolated in their designated isolation rooms onboard the ship. To ensure the well-being of our seafarers, a team of medical practitioners are closely observing their condition on a 24-hour basis. To protect our valued passengers, we have suspended all M/V St. Anthony de Padua voyages and anchored her off the port of Batangas until further notice. There are currently no passengers onboard the ship.
Furthermore, we are closely working with both local government units and national authorities for active case investigation and contact tracing to track passengers who may have come into direct contact with the crew. At 2GO, the health and safety of our crews and passengers are our primary concern, and we place heightened protocols to help curb through rigorous cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation of all vessels.
